The 2023 - 2024 free application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) opens.

Freshmen application deadline for the early action track. The early action track is encouraged for all freshmen – especially if you wish to be considered for the Lewis Honors College, competitive and academic scholarships or if you plan to live on campus.

Priority 2023 - 2024 FAFSA filing deadline for freshmen.

Freshmen application deadline for the regular decision track. This is our regular decision track, which allows you to be considered for admission to UK but you may not be considered for Lewis Honors College or Competitive and Academic Scholarships.

Priority registration for the Fall 2023 semester. Please make sure to meet with your advisor to remove your advisor hold before priority registration begins. Check the registration webpage for more information about steps you should take to ensure a smooth registration process.

Deadline for international applications to be submitted to The Graduate School.

Deadline for applying with college deans for reinstatement after a second academic suspension.

Registration is open for new program graduate students.

Enrollment deposit deadline, orientation fee, scholarship offer acceptance deadline.

Deadline for students to schedule an appointment for reinstatement in all colleges.

Deadline for undergraduate international applicants to submit their application.

All students that have previously registered for classes are able to add/drop classes as needed.

Deadline for applications to be submitted to The Graduate School.

Final deadline of required documents for Fall 2023 undergraduate admission, excluding freshmen considered on a space-availability basis.

Last day a student may officially drop a course or withdraw from all classes with the Office of the University Registrar for a full refund.

Late registration begins for returning students and applicants cleared for late admission. A late fee is assessed for students who register late.

First Fall 2023 payment deadline. If the total amount due is not paid, a late payment fee of 1.5% of the amount past due will be assessed.

Last day for employees to submit EEP form to Human Resource Services to confirm Fall 2023 registration and tuition waiver.

Last day to appeal for Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress for the 

2023 fall semester.

Last day to add a class.

Last day to fully withdraw or reduce course load and receive an 80% refund for full-term courses.

Last day to drop a full-term class without it appearing on a transcript.

Last day to change grading option for full-term classes (pass/fail to letter grade or letter grade to pass/fail; credit to audit or audit to credit).

Last day to fully withdraw or reduce course load and receive a 50% refund for full-term classes.

Last day for doctoral candidates for a December degree to submit a Notification of Intent to schedule a final examination in The Graduate School.

Deadline for submission of application and all required documents to appeal residency status for Fall 2023.

Monthly payment deadline. If the total amount due is not paid, a late payment fee of 1.5% of the amount past due will be assessed.

The window for faculty to submit midterm grades for their classes.

Midterm of Fall 2023 (end of the ninth week of classes).

University of Kentucky offices will be open. Classes do not meet.

Students are prohibited from changing academic majors.

Federal aid repayment cutoff for full term courses. Students who withdraw or stop attending a full-term course before this date may be required to repay federal aid.

Last day to apply for a December 2023 undergraduate or graduate degree in myUK.

Last day to fully withdraw or reduce course load from full-term classes. After this date students are only permitted withdraw for urgent non-academic reasons.

Last day candidates for a December 2022 graduate degree can schedule a final examination in the Graduate School.

Classes do not meet. University of Kentucky offices will be closed on November 23 and November 24.

Last day candidates for a December 2023 graduate degree can sit for a final examination.

University of Kentucky offices are open and classes meet normally. No major assignments, quizzes, or exams may be scheduled during Prep Days.

Last day of classes before final exams.

Last day for December 2023 degree candidates to submit thesis/dissertation (ETD) for format review to the Graduate School via UKnowledge.

Final examination week for all classes.

Official end of the semester.

Last day for December 2023 degree candidates to submit a final revised thesis/dissertation (EDT) for acceptance by the Graduate School (for those students who first submitted December 8). 

Commencement ceremonies held for December 2023 graduates.
